Spent a night in this motel (just beside the airport) on arrival in Christchurch before leaving for Greymouth the next day.

7 - 8 Dec @ Panorama Court, Wanaka (LINK)
This is an apartment where we were greeted by beautiful roses and many other beautiful flowers all around us.
Nevertheless, it's also one that we were greeted by lots of dead mosquitoes at the sink the next morning.
Having said this, it is also the hotel with the beautiful Wanaka lake right in front of us...
8 - 9 Dec @ Holiday Inn Queenstown Frankton Road (LINK)
A very comfortable hotel that faces the Remarkables mountain as the backdrop to the beautiful lake.
It provides free shuttle service to-and-fro the town; and this hotel does not charge extra for hot breakfast :)

9-11 Dec @ Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa (LINK)
It is a suite - that comes with a living room. Pretty nice and cosy. The hotel faces the Wataputi Lake, too - but the opposite of Holiday Inn.
The only issue we had with this hotel was not committing to what was stated in the booking confirmation form - a twin room. It did not admit having difficulty till we suggested otherwise; instead, offered a roller bed as an alternative. Well, the two blankets and additional amenities came quite quickly.
The hotel does not provide free shuttle service to the town. Nevertheless, it has the water taxi station right in front of its restaurant (Wataputi Grill).
11-13 Dec @ Chateau on the Park Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton (LINK)
A hotel that comes with a beautiful garden.
