Christchurch: International Antarctic Centre

LINK: https://www.iceberg.co.nz/

A pretty unique centre that heighten our awareness of mysterious Antarctica.
We were first greeted by the blue penguins, which is one of the rare natives in the south pole.

Here, we get a good and easy-to-understand explanation of the environment in Antarctica.

Quite like this, and the movie that give a visual treat to how Antarctica looks like!

Actually pinned high hopes on this 4D movie, but it turned out to be another 'kiddish' movie instead. What a disappointment.

This was the highlight... get to go into the storm room - that simulates the wind storm.
Well, 5-minute experience is shiok and manageable.
However, I would not like and would not be able to withstand this on-going blow...

This is another must do highlight in the Centre - to hop into the Hagglund and take an obstacle ride!
That reminds me of the ride to the Columbia Icefield in the Canadian Rockies!

Right beside the Centre is the Research Centre.
